School Days

So it was open day at school today for families to see what you guys were doing.

We had a lovely morning.

You and Magoo couldn't be more different.

Instead of one focused acitivity we zoomed through four!

What a ball we had bulding blocks, a hillarious board game,

self portrait painting and you showing me all your book work.

It is always a pleasure to see you in your space.   

You have such ownership.

Such Pride.

But my heart had to melt when we had our picnic.

You ran off to be with your friends.

When it was time to pack up though you frantically looked around the crowd for me.

You looked so tiny.

So lost.

So helpless.

So beautiful.

And then there was this.

The second you saw me across the crowd.

My love, your smile can light this world on fire.
